Hiring

Yes, Allegiant is currently hiring, although the application window for First Officer positions is temporarily closed. Interested candidates are encouraged to check back regularly for updates on application availability. Allegiant offers several Pilot Pathway Programs tailored to aspiring aviators from different backgrounds. These include the Accelerate Pilot Pathway for collegiate aviators attending one of Allegiant’s Part 141 university partners, the Altitude Pilot Pathway in collaboration with McAir Aviation, and the Military Pilot Pathway, which supports military pilots transitioning into Part 121 operations.

To qualify for the First Officer position, applicants must hold a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate and an FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit, and must meet all ATP aeronautical experience requirements as outlined in 14 CFR §61.159. While not required, preferred qualifications include holding a FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Multi-Engine Land Certificate—either restricted or unrestricted—a bachelor’s degree, prior Part 121 experience, and basic computer skills. More information about current openings and pathway programs can be found through the Allegiant Air Careers portal.
