JetBlue is not currently hiring First Officers. Applicants should be prepared for a competitive selection process, and successful candidates are expected to comply with aircraft seat locks post-hire. JetBlue is looking for First Officers for bases in Boston (BOS), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), New York (JFK), Los Angeles (LAX), and Orlando (MCO).

JetBlue pilots are represented by the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA). A two-year contract extension, which focused primarily on economic issues, was ratified in February 2023. This agreement provided a 21.5% compensation increase over 18 months and aimed to keep pilot pay competitive

Hiring Minimums:

  • Total Flight Time: Minimum of 1,500 hours in fixed-wing aircraft

  • Fixed-Wing Time: At least 500 hours

  • Turbine Time: While not explicitly stated, candidates with turbine experience are preferred

  • Recent Flight Experience: Preference for candidates with recent flying experience, particularly those with over 200 hours in the last 12 months
